CELFIE the Salon, Derby
A few weeks ago I attended a blogger event at Hotpod Yoga Derby and was told about a new hair salon opening soon in the same building
CÉLFIE the Salon launched with a friends & family evening on 15th July which I was kindly invited to (they had prosecco and cake so as if I’d decline!) and officially opened to the public on Monday 17th July
Modern calligraphy course with Mint Green Calligraphy, Derby
I always remember my Dad learning calligraphy when I was little so that he could write on a certificate for his goddaughters christening and even back then it intrigued me. Combine that intrigue with a love of all things stationery, and you can imagine how happy I was when I saw that Alison from Mint Green Calligraphy was holding a modern calligraphy course a few weeks ago at The Smallprint Company! I didn’t hesitate to book my place!

Having been to a number of Hotpod Yoga classes with Leah and Chantelle, it was great to be invited – along with some other lovely Derby bloggers – to join Leah for a class to celebrate the launch of their new studio!
The School of Christmas
When it comes to Christmas, I can sometimes be a bit bah-humbug (ok, full on Grinch), but having been in Australia for Christmas last year we didn’t have any of the usual festivities at home so I’m well and truly ready to get my Christmas on this year!
Having followed Fabulous Places on Instagram for a while now (I’m obsessed with their feed) I was intrugued to discover that they were holding a ‘School of Christmas’ in collaboration with Birds In The Attic…
I booked to attend the first of three workshops on Sunday 27th November, held at Worth Brothers Wines in Kirk Langley. The description on their website said that it ‘offers a special opportunity to join us for an exclusive workshop covering all the elements of a fabulous Christmas… festive table decor, entertaining, gifting, home decor, drinks, canapes and gift wrapping’
